MIL-E-5272C MILITARY SPECIFICATION, ENVIRONMENTAL TESTING, AERONAUTICAL AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT, GENERAL SPECIFICATION (13 APR 1959)., This specification establishes generally applicable procedures for testing aeronautical and associated equipment under simulated and accelerated climatic and environmental conditions. Procedures prescribed herein are to be utilized in subjecting equipment to simulated and accelerated environmental conditions in order to insure satisfactory operation and to reduce deterioration when the equipment is operated or stored in any global locality. In the case of any particular item of equipment, test procedures are to be followed to the extent specified in the applicable equipment specification.

【摘要】:Thistestmethodisastandardprocedurefordeterminingwindloadresistanceofrigidplasticsidingunderspecifieduniformstaticpressuredifference.Thistypicallyisintendedtorepresenttheeffectsofwindloadsonexteriorbuildingsurfaces.Theactualloadingonbuildingsurfacesisquitecomplex,varyingwithwinddirection,time,heightaboveground,buildingshape,terrain,surroundingstructures,andotherfactors.DesignwindpressureisselectedforspecificgeographicallocationsfromwindvelocitymapspreparedbytheNationalWeatherServiceorothersources.RefertoAnnexA1ofSpecificationD3679foradditionaldetailedinformationrelatingtouseofthistestmethodforevaluationofrigidpoly(vinylchloride)(PVC)siding.Note28212;Inapplyingtheresultsofthistestmethod,notethattheperformanceofrigidPVCsidingisafunctionofinstallation,andthespecimenmayormaynottrulyrepresenttheactualapplication.Inservice,performancewillalsodependontherigidityofsupportingconstruction,andontheresistanceofothercomponentstodeteriorationbyvariouscauses,tothermalexpansionandcontraction,etc.1.1ThistestmethoddescribesmethodsfortestingandevaluatingwindloadresistanceofrigidplasticsidingwhenfastenedinaccordancewithPracticeD4756.1.2Theproperuseofthistestmethodrequiresaknowledgeoftheprinciplesofpressuremeasurement.1.3Thistestmethoddescribestheapparatusandtheprocedurestobeusedforeitheraspecificstatictestpressure(ProcedureA)orultimatetestpressurevalues(ProcedureB)applieduniformlytoaspecimen.Note1-ThereisnoknownISOequivalenttothistestmethod.1.4Thevaluesexpressedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.TheSIequivalentsinparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautionarystatements,seeSection7.
