【摘要】:Theserequirementscoverbelow-gradevaultsintendedforthestorageofflammableorcombustibleliquidsinanabovegroundatmospherictank.Below-gradevaultsaredesignedtocontainoneabovegroundtankwhichcanbeacompartmenttank.Adjacentvaultsmayshareacommonwall.Thelidofthevaultmaybeatorbelow-grade.Below-gradevaultsareconstructedofaminimumof6inches(152.4mm)ofreinforcedconcreteorotherequivalentnoncombustiblematerialandformacomplete,liquid-tightenclosurethatdoesnotallowexternalgroundwatertopermeatethroughthevaultwalls.Below-gradevaultscanbeevaluatedassecondarycontainmentvaults.Below-gradevaultscoveredbytheserequirementsdonotincludeanevaluationofcomponents,suchasventilationequipment,leakdetectionandmonitoringequipment,overfillprotectionequipment,andaccessladders.Below-gradevaultsareintendedforinstallationanduseinaccordancewiththemanufacturer'sinstructionsandthefollowingfirecodes:theFlammableandCombustibleLiquidsCode,NFPA30,theAutomotiveandMarineServiceStationCode,NFPA30A,andtheUniformFireCode,AppendixII-J.Aproductthatcontainsfeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsnewordifferentfromthosecoveredbytherequirementsinthisStandard,andthatinvolvesariskoffire,electricshock,orinjurytopersonsshallbeevaluatedusingtheappropriateadditionalcomponentandend-productrequirementstodeterminethatthelevelofsafetyasoriginallyanticipatedbytheintentofthisStandardismaintained.Aproductwhosefeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsconflictwithspecificrequirementsorprovisionsofthisStandardshallnotbejudgedtocomplywiththisStandard.Whereappropriate,revisionofrequirementsshallbeproposedandadoptedinconformancewiththemethodsemployedfordevelopment,revision,andimplementationofthisStandard.
