【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardgivesrecommendationsandguidanceforthepreservativetreatmentoftimbertoprovideprotectionagainstbiodeteriorationincertainspecifiedend-usesituationsintheUnitedKingdom.Itrecommendslevelsofpenetrationandretentionofpreservative,fromtheclassesdefinedinBSEN351-1,fordifferenttimbercomponentsandtakesintoaccountthenaturaldurabilityandtreatabilityofthetimberemployed,thebiologicalhazardclassandthedesiredservicelife.Italsoprovidesguidanceonestablishingwhetheraspecifiedleveloftreatmenthasbeenachieved.ThisBritishStandardappliesonlytosolidwood,includinggluedlaminatedtimber.Itdoesnotapplytopanelproducts,asnoEuropeanStandardshavebeenpublishedonthepreservationoftheseproducts.ThisBritishStandarddoesnotapplytotreatmentsregardedasremedialinnatureortothoseprimarilydesignedtoinfluencetheperformanceoftimberinfire.NOTEIntheUnitedKingdom,onlypreservativesapprovedundertheControlofPesticidesRegulations1986[2]arepermittedforthetreatmentoftimber.
