【摘要】:Thetotalfluorine,chlorineandsulfurcontainedinaromatichydrocarbonmatricescancontributetoemissions,beharmfultomanycatalyticchemicalprocesses,andleadtocorrosion.Thistestmethodcanbeusedtodeterminetotalsulfurandhalogensaromatichydrocarbonmatrices,infinishedproductsandcanbeusedforcompliancedeterminationswhenacceptabletoaregulatoryauthorityusingperformancebasedcriteria.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheindividualdeterminationoftotalfluorine,chlorineandsulfurinaromatichydrocarbonsandtheirmixtures.Samplescontaining0.1to50mg/kgofeachelementcanbeanalyzed.1.2Thismethodcanbeappliedtosampletypesoutsidetherangeofthescopebydilutionofthesampleinanappropriatesolventtobringthetotalconcentrationsoffluorine,chlorineandsulfurwithintherangecoveredbythetestmethod.However,itistheresponsibilityoftheanalysttoverifythesolubilityofthesampleinthesolventandthatthedilutedsampleresultsconformtotheprecisionandaccuracyofthemethod.1.3Indeterminingtheconformanceofthetestresultsusingthismethodtoapplicablespecifications,resultsshallberoundedoffinaccordancewiththerounding-offmethodofPracticeE29.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SeeSection8.
