【摘要】:Thisstandardprovidescommonelementsforbasictime-criticalandnon-time-criticalmessagingcommunicationsbetweenapplicationprogramsinanautomationenvironmentandmaterialspecifictoType18fieldbus.Theterm“time-critical”isusedtorepresentthepresenceofatime-window,withinwhichoneormorespecifiedactionsarerequiredtobecompletedwithsomedefinedlevelofcertainty.Failuretocompletespecifiedactionswithinthetimewindowrisksfailureoftheapplicationsrequestingtheactions,withattendantrisktoequipment,plantandpossiblyhumanlife.ThisstandardspecifiesinteractionsbetweenremoteapplicationsanddefinestheexternallyvisiblebehaviorprovidedbytheType18fieldbusapplicationlayerintermsofa)theformalabstractsyntaxdefiningtheapplicationlayerprotocoldataunitsconveyedbetweencommunicatingapplicationentities;b)thetransfersyntaxdefiningencodingrulesthatareappliedtotheapplicationlayerprotocoldataunits;c)theapplicationcontextstatemachinedefiningtheapplicationservicebehaviorvisiblebetweencommunicatingapplicationentities;d)theapplicationrelationshipstatemachinesdefiningthecommunicationbehaviorvisiblebetweencommunicatingapplicationentities.Thepurposeofthisstandardistodefinetheprotocolprovidedto1)definethewire-representationoftheserviceprimitivesdefinedinIEC61158-5-18,and2)definetheexternallyvisiblebehaviorassociatedwiththeirtransfer.ThisstandardspecifiestheprotocoloftheType18fieldbusapplicationlayer,inconformancewiththeOSIBasicReferenceModel(ISO/IEC7498)andtheOSIapplicationlayerstructure(ISO/IEC9545).1.2SpecificationsTheprincipalobjectiveofthisstandardistospecifythesyntaxandbehavioroftheapplicationlayerprotocolthatconveystheapplicationlayerservicesdefinedinIEC61158-5-18.Asecondaryobjectiveistoprovidemigrationpathsfrompreviously-existingindustrialcommunicationsprotocols.ItisthislatterobjectivewhichgivesrisetothediversityofprotocolsstandardizedintheIEC61158-6series.
