【摘要】:Thisclassificationliststhetypesofcopperavailablefromrefineriesorfabricators,orboth,definesthecommontermsused,andgivesthecharacteristicsofmanyofthecoppersavailable.Itisusefultotheneophytelookingfortheappropriatecopperforaparticularapplication.1.1Thisisaclassificationofthevarioustypesofcoppercurrentlyavailableinrefineryshapesandwroughtproductsincommercialquantities.Itisnotaspecificationforthevarioustypesofcopper.1.2Inthisclassification,useismadeofthestandardcopperdesignationsinusebythecopperindustry.1.3AlthoughthisclassificationincludescertainUNSdesignationsasdescribedinPracticeE527,thesedesignationsareforcross-referenceonlyandarenotrequirements.Therefore,incaseofconflict,thisASTMclassificationshallgovern.1.4Thisclassificationdoesnotattempttodifferentiatebetweenallcompositionsthatcouldbetermedeithercoppersorcopper-basealloys,butinconformancewithgeneralusageinthetrade,includesthosecoppersinwhichthecopperisspecifiedas99.85%ormore,silverbeingcountedascopper.Note18212;Coppersmaycontainsmallamountsofcertainelementsintentionallypermittedtoimpartspecificproperties,withoutexcessivelyloweringelectricalconductivity.Thetotalcopperplusspecificpermittedelementsisusuallyspecifiedas99.85%ormore.Theseintentionallypermittedelementsnormallyinclude,butarenotlimitedto,arsenic,cadmium,chromium,lead,magnesium,silver,sulfur,tellurium,tin,zinc,andzirconium,plusdeoxidizers,uptospecificlevelsadoptedbytheInternationalStandardsOrganization.1.5Units8212;Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunits,whichareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.
