【摘要】:Theserequirementscoverfluorescentself-ballastedlampsandfluorescentlampadaptersrated120voltsnominalforusewithEdison-baselampholdersinincandescentlightingfixturesandportableelectriclamps.TheseproductsareintendedforuseinaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode,ANSI/NFPA70.Thesedevicesincorporateresistance,reactance,orelectronic(solidstate)typeballasts.Theserequirementsdonotcovermedium-to-mediumbase(E26)fittingsthatincorporatecontrolssuchasphotocells,motiondetectors,radiocontrols,ordimmers.Thesedevicesarenotintendedforusewithemergencyexitfixturesoremergencyexitlights.Aproducthavingfeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsnewordifferentfromthoseinusewhentheStandardwasdeveloped,andthatinvolvesariskoffire,electricshock,orinjurytopersons,shallbeevaluatedusingtheappropriateadditionalcomponentandend-productrequirementsasdeterminednecessarytomaintainthelevelofsafetyfortheuseroftheproductasoriginallyanticipatedbytheintentofthisStandard.
