【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardprovidesageneralintroductiontoallthesteelsurfacepreparationstandards.Itgivesgeneralinformationonalltheseparategroupsofstandards,alongwithacompletelistingofallthepublishedstandardsthatcoverabrasiveblast-cleaning,hand-andpower-toolcleaningandflamecleaningofsteelsubstrates.ThisBritishStandardalsoincludesdefinitionsthatareapplicabletoallthestandardslisted.Additionaldefinitions,specifictocertainprocesses,aregivenintherespectivestandards.Tohelptheuser,allofthe‘older’BS7079referencesaregivensothatthenewand/orupdatedstandardscaneasilybefound,as(althoughsomeremaindual-numbered)manyarenowonlyknownbytheirBSENISOreference.Althoughthesurfacepreparationstandardsareprimarilyintendedforusewithhot-rolledsteel,abrasiveblast-cleaningmethods,inparticular,mightalsobeapplicabletothesurfacepreparationofcold-rolledsteelofsufficientthicknesstowithstandanydeformationcausedbytheimpactoftheabrasive.Thestandardsarenotapplicabletonon-ferroussubstratessuchasaluminiumorgalvanizedorelectroplatedsteel.
